Sinking Ship - 1990 Marlin Boat

You sold us a boat stating it was water ready and had been fully inspected by your mechanic. We took it out on the water 2 weeks after we bought it for the maiden voyage and our entire family almost sank with the boat. We called and you said you would take care of the repairs "at your cost" and for us not to worry! We appreciated your business ethics and honesty. We waited nearly two weeks to hear something, after bringing the boat back to you, and that is when you informed us that we needed to pay $1100 and that is when you decided to clarify you previous verbage stating that "at your cost" meant we would pay what your cost to repair would be. This is not what I would call - "Don't worry about it, we will take care of it "at our cost"". Very shady and dishonest is the truth of this matter because if this boat had truly been inspected and was truly water ready the obvious motor issues that were attempted to be covered up with a silicone fix would have been discovered and disclosed and we would not have bought the boat and continued on our search for a more reliable one within our price range. Isn't it funny how the price went from $4600 down to $3500 with a future discovery of $1100 in repairs?! Hmmmmm... Seems like someone knew they wouldn't really be losing any money by dropping the price that exact amount! Seems it was expected that we would be back in a short amount of time to have repairs done and exactly how much we would have to pay when we did!
