Larry Rosenbaum Kept Rare Books they ordered and refuses to pay for them

Miscellaneous

Larry Rosenbaum ordered 10 Rare Books, each weighing 10 pounds, coffee table sized books and paid $750 for the 10. Upon receiving them he realized there was a better edition which contained sericells. Rosenbaum called the dealer and was told the better books are being sold for $150 each or $1500. Rosenbaum stated he needed the better books quickly as he had customers for them.
Rosenbaum requested the better books be shipped immediately and he would return the original ten. Rosenbaum recieved the better books but did not return the original ten and did not pay for the better books. There were many phone conversations between the seller and Rosenbaum about returning the original ten and paying for the new ten.
Rosenbaum's excuses were, they are large and heavy and it will take some time, then he followed up in a different phone conversation that he had an auction going and had no time to ship them back. The phone conversations between the seller and Larry Rosenbaum went on for quite some time.
Getting no where with Rosenbaum, the seller, hired an arbitrator to try to get Rosenbaum to do the right thing. Larry Rosenbaum refused to deal with the arbitrator. Many requests for him to do so failed. Rosenbaum had a girl from his office respond and she initially said that Mr. Rosenbaum has NO recollection of receiving 200 pounds of rare books that would take up two full bookcase shelves. She was reminded that Rosenbaum paid $750 for the original ten he received. She then changed her story and said she would check her files. Again the arbitrator asked that Rosenbaum be directly involved in the arbitration and he refused. His girl using stalling tactics wanted proof of the many phone calls between the seller and Rosenbaum. Worse is that she said Mr. Rosenbaum called the seller on the phone and she said the seller was not aware of any complaint and that no money was owed by Rosenbaum. This was proven to be an outright lie and was decitful. The seller was outraged that Rosenbaum's girl woul make such a fabricated and false statement. After much back and forth via email between the arbitrator and the girl at EAC Gallery, the girl was given with two weeks notice that if Mr. Rosenbaum did not return all 20 books or pay the $1500 outstanding invoice that they were sent a copy of, that complaints would be filed against them.
Mr. Rosenbaum has kept all twenty books, and has not paid the $1,500.00 outstanding invoice!
