MFA Door to door sales scam

On June 21 in Plainfield, IL a person by the name of Chris Barber came to our door claiming to sell magazines for a fundraiser so that he can take a trip to Europe. He seemed very sincere and knowledgeable about the magazines and products "provided". We ended up purchasing $102 worth of magazines which "Chris" stated we should start to receive the first magazines within a couple of weeks. Today is now September 27th and have been wanting to follow up with the company to ask where are magazines are. Shame on me for not following up sooner but I checked online, found the check that was written to MFA, saw that the signature on the back of the check states
