LLBean creed no longer honored

I contacted LLBean concerning a fleece jacket that had a failed zipper... I shared with them how much I loved the jacket and that it was well worn with a burn hole in the sleeve... They responded that the zipper repair did not fall under the guarantee because of the burn hole. How are the two related??? The LLBean Creed of 1918 (?) is no longer being honored.

I will no longer shop at LLBean until they update their service claims... Or fix the zipper!
