Three weeks ago I started having trouble with my dial-up. Slow loading, staying connected, ect. Today I noticed a 'special' tab to speed up my PC. I feel that AOL has done something to make my software from them to cause me problems, so that I'll try their 'speed up' services for $49.95. As that I live on a fixed-income and already have enough other problems, I cannot afford to do this. I uninstalled everything and re-installed AOL again and then I couldn't get connected to AOL at all, had to call TECH support, and at the end of this conversation, I was again approached about buying their 'speed up' service. I am not the only dial-up person in my area that is having these problems. I live in an area that unless you want to pay $70 for 'highspeed' you only have dial-up as the only other option, no one offers anything to rural dwellers that is available to city dwellers. So my complaint is this: I feel that AOL is doing something that I feel is illegal and violates my 'rights' to access to the internet/web.
