CRST turns away experienced drivers, ripps off student drivers & putting unsafe inexperienced drivers on the road

CRST Do not trust this company and stay far away from the trucks you see on the road! CRST gets up to 200 people in the door each week. They make you sign a contract for for their school. If you need the two week refresher course the instuctors teach you non-safe ways to preform the pre-trip saftey inspections (they use a pointed stick you are not permited to touch the truck) with the sole intention that you fail the course. When you fail the course you are then told to go home and you are then stuck in a contract to pay the school.

CRST hires people who do not even have a CDL trains them, gives them a 60 day temporary CDL puts the student on the road and pays these folks $50.00 a day! The student driver then has to transfer thatt temp. Iowa CDL to their home state. CRST does not tell you that most states like N.J. For instance will NOT honer any states temp licenses. Then you are screwd with no license and no job. And a contract to pay this crappy school. If the student decides to just take the CDL exam in their home state they are sure to fail misserabley due to the improper training they received at the crst school. How on earth can you safley inspect a truck if you are not pernited to touch the damm truck!

CRST makes all their money from the students and from their crappy school.

If you are lucky to make it through the training you then have to sit and wait up to wo weeks for a trainer/truck to go out in. That just cost you more money.in the hopes that you will quit so they can stick you in the contract, more money out of your pocket. It`s all about the money they make and they don`t give a damm about anyone.

I understand that they receive money from the fedral goverment to train the inexperienced drivers. So money from the feds money from the students, money from the ones who fail the school. What a sespool of deception!

And all the other posts here, they are all true!

They also get folks up to Iowa and just dig as deep into your background as they can just to look for an excuse to send you home (they do this just to make themselves look good) and not even pay for your bus fare home. I got luck they did pay my bus fare but i still wasted two weeks of my time in Iowa. I wish i would have found this web site sooner. I will now dig as deep as i can into the background of every company i apply to.
