I recycled a priority mail cardboard box that had previously come to me by turning it inside out and wrapping a book to send to someone else. The postage was $3.16. The next day it comes back to me with postage due of $5.84. The reason cited was if it is sent in a prioity box, it has to go priority even if the box is turned inside out. So I paid $9.00 to not get the book sent.By the way it does not say any such thing on the priority mail boxes anywhere. I thought I was doing the right thing by recycling cardboard! And they need to raise the postage rate again. Darn tootin' cause all my packages are going UPS from now on.
