Lender based insurance

Home caught fire july. My insurance comapny cancelled me. Home was total loss. Gmac wanted me to get insurance but no company would insure me. I did get a general libality policy. Gmac decided they were goiung to give me lender based insurance on a home that was a total loss. I refused to pay, as balboa insurance (their insurance) told me the property was uninsurable. The house would have been rebuilt already but gmac lost papers so many times and fanny mae had to approve the new home! It took over 6 months for this to happen and the house was finally torn down june. I had to wait that long for insurance monies gmac was holding. Gmac said they can do what they want, they are not subject to regulation and if they want to make me pay insurance, tough. Nobody can tell me what they were insuring except "their interests". This is unacceptable! The house should not have been insured as it was a total loss! My general liability sould have been enough. I feel i am owed the total $866 back. My credit score should be fixed, all feew should be taken off! I have contacted the trade commission, nj dept of banking, channel 6 call for action and put this on my facebook and myspace pages. I am sick of gmac ruining my life. Calling the place i am staying. I lost 34 years of my life and am basically homeless. I lost my 5 cats. They have been nothing but rude and have hung up on me many times when i ask what they are insuring. The departments are not allowed to talk to each other, and i do not get the same person ever! Something has to be done! It is not right and im not even sure it is legal.
