Toshibas faulty product

I purchased a 52 inch Toshiba Regza television on November 25 from newegg.com. I kept the TV in pristine condition with no cuts and scratches. On April 16, I moved the TV across the room. I moved the TV with my roommate and we did not drop it or bump it into anything. There are still no cracks or scratches to prove that. While we were carrying the TV to the other side of the room, I heard a pop and thought nothing of it. When I plugged it in, I was dismayed to find out that the lcd was broken. I called Toshiba and they referred me to a repair shop. The repair shop told me that it would cost over one thousand dollars to buy the replacement LCD from Toshiba. This does not account for the cost of labor to replace the screen because the TV cost me $1500 brand new, the repair would cost me almost or the same as a new TV. I took very good care of the TV and it is just out of warranty, I believe Toshiba should replace it. I called them and told them that and they said they could not do anything because the TV is out of warranty and they tried to refer me to another service center. Toshiba is not standing behind their product when it is having obvious quality issues. I have a black and white TV that still works and this expensive TV did not even last me a year and a half. Their unwillingness to step up and fix their quality issues, just shows me how customer oriented they really are. I have referred customers to Toshiba before and regret it now that I see how they treat their customers and the low quality of their products, because of this, I will no longer support any Toshiba product and. I know it is out of warranty, but not by much and the cost of repair is ridiculous. It took me a month’s worth of wages to purchase that TV and I am very disappointed with Toshibas lack of quality in their products.
