After searching online and in newspapers for a very long time, we finally found a chihuahua puppy we had been looking for at Little Loves. It was a little out of our price range, so I emailed Sarah and she offered the puppy to me at the price I was looking for. My children were ecstatic as we made that drive to Spring within the next few days. We got there and fell in love with our puppy at first site. Well to make a long story short, 2 nights after we got her home, she started showing signs of parvo. I talked with Sarah numerous times over the phone and my family was an emotional wreck over this. Sarah continuously assured me that this was not parvo, as our puppy had already had 2 parvo shots. We took the puppy to several different vets and finally a parvo test was completed... Only to find out our little baby girl did have parvo. Although Sarah still argued that she didn't. We spent over 500.00 at the vet and shed many tears. We ended up losing her in the next 2 days. Our vet explained to me that the puppy had parvo before we ever got her because the virus stays dormant for 10 days inside the puppies body before showing any signs, and we had only had her 4 days. It was an absolutely TERRIBLE thing to go through. Now after reading the descriptions of the way the puppies are kept, I know why she got sick. I also would be willing to bet the puppy never even received the parvo shots. Sarah did reimburse us for the vet bills. She promised us another puppy when we were ready, but now that I read this I will not take one. Basically, we are out the 450.00 we paid for the dog.
