Ripoff all lies i wont be intimidated

This company is a ripoff. They've harassed me for the last 4 months maybe more, but I wont let them intimidate me. The first time they called me, they told me that I had won a contest from Visa Student Credit. They told me about the magazines, but they told me I could cancel at any time, but I would have to pay the balance off of whatever magazines were sent. Well I tried to cancel.

After they took the first payment, I was pissed, so I canceled my credit card. They sent me four magazines, and then a paper saying they couldnt collect the second payment so I needed to choose an alternative payment plan. On everything they sent me, every piece of paper, I wrote Please Cancel. I called and then they told me that it had to be cancelled within 10 days. Then they asked me why I wanted to cancel and I explained to then that I was recently unemployed, which at the time I was.

They told me that they could reduce the price from 70 dollars to 24 dollars. Feeling trapped, I agreed. But then they tell me that they cant reduce the price if I dont give them a credit card number. They said they couldn't give me 2 options. So I hung up. After that conversation, they started sending me five more different magazines. I saw right through it.

They were sending me all those other magazines to jack up the price. Now they are saying that I owe them 656 dollars and they are contacting a collection agency. I really want to know if there is a way around this. I was totally scammed. Now they call my cell phone 8 times a day, and have even called my mother's house and have started to harass her. I hate this, but I'm staying strong. I refuse to pay for something I never asked for.
