Went to Costco today at the one in San Leandro. I was carrying my sister's membership card because we live in the same household. Cashier (named Albert) said I couldn't shop with her membership and stated that will have to have my sister to come by and pick up the card. I stated that I will file a complaint because the cashier would not give me back the card. Another cashier approached me and stated that they are all supervisors here and I can ask to speak to the manager. Without asking to speak to the manager, a third person came up, who might be manager stated that membership is not transferable. I understand their policy, but I felt scared and threatened because three staffs from costco approached me in a non friendly way. I am sure there is a better way to approach a customer than having 3 people in front. They could advise that I can get my own membership or say something a customer would not feel threatened and scared. This is the worse experience that I have ever felt as a customer.
