P90X Order Process a Fraud - P90x

I realize that there are tons of fans of P90X – some of them I know, so the product probably does work. But I have to agree that the beachbody web site is a bit fraudulent – that is what CW is calling a scam, NOT the program itself. Before you read on, I purchase plenty of things on line, so don’t call me a web idiot. I know what I’m doing and I know when a web retailer is not conducting a business 100% above board.
Just like C.W., I went on line to purchase the product from beachbody. Before I knew it, my first installment of about $34 quickly turned into $134! I removed items that weren’t “free” as described in the ad, and double checked the product description to make sure that I was purchasing the right thing. I never was able to get what was advertised on the site and on TV as $34. What was interesting to me was that the description said “free shipping” but there was clearly a shipping cost in the tally.
Because I felt I was being scammed, I decided to cancel out of the order. There were four steps in the total order process. I canceled out after TWO steps – I NEVER confirmed the order (step four). Any web retailer of any worth makes sure that consumers confirm that they understand what they are purchasing and require confirmation of any order.
Even though I canceled out, just like C. W, later that day, I was sent an email saying that my order went through. I immediately called to cancel/clear up THEIR mistake. I was told my order was canceled and a supervisor would call me. To make sure I would receive the call, I provided my cell phone. No phone call in the 24 hour period they stated. What I DID get was ANOTHER email stating my product had been SHIPPED! Remember, a product for which I never actually completed the order! TWO more calls later, they finally refunded the charge, and sent me a return label to send back the product.
So believe in the product all you want. Just be careful of the ordering process. And if you feel you can get an authentic product through another site other than beachbody, I would highly recommend not giving them your business.
