Beacon One Insurance Bait and Switch Professionals! Be Very Aware!

I contacted this company one month before my auto poilcy was going to run out. I wanted to lower my rates and keep the same coverage. This is where the deciet starts. An air headed agent took all my personal info and got back to me with a "quote" of over $800 savings in premiums. Same coverages! Sure sign me up! Well she says just pay the Full premium by credit card and we will send a "binder"... Just a note, I am 53.. Never had an at fault accident, no tickets, excellant credit, homeowner, nothing negative whatsoever. Finally - a Insurance company who appreciates those very few of us left who "do the right thing" day after day! Well not so fast! They wait till the last minute to do things so your old coverages are lapsed and then they send out a policy and a BILL! Sorry they say we didnt do all our homework and gave some bogus reasons why they now want $393 MORE for your policy! So you are stuck! Cant go back to old carrier without big penalties. Cant cancel this new cheating bait and switch pricing company as there will be a huge amount not refunded for a very short period of time with them. This is a very sly and unethical insurance company. There are many other complaints and lawsuits against them for various offences. You just have to punch and " One Beacon" and scroll to the third or fourth page as they have managed to post all kinds of things so you dont get to the negatives. STAY Away from One Beacon!!
