Abused my puppy and starved it!

This person came to my home here in New Jersey and bought a lab puppy from me. I bought the pups 1 week prior but my 9 year old ended up being allergic to the pup. So I had to re-home him.
When the puppy got to his home it didnt want to eat that much and the next day he didnt want to at all.
So he got mad and called me and said there was something wrong with the puppy. I told him it was all new to the puppy and maybe it would eat later. I told him that the puppy did it to me too when he first got to my home. He made some hmmm sound and then He hung up, only he thought he hung up. I hung up too but picked up the phone right away to call my gramma and he was still on my line accidentally, cause he did not hang up his phone all the way.
I heard him fighting with his wife over the puppy pooping on the floor. Then I heard him grab the puppy and rub its nose in it and beat on him I heard the puppy cry and whelp and then I heard a door slam.
Then him and his wife fought more about the puppy. I hung up right away and stayed off the phone for a minute so he would clear off my line. I called him back right away and confronted him, he cursed at me and swore and then hung up on me. I called the animal humane people and reported him. They said they went out and found nothing wrong with the puppy. But I know what I heard. I heard him beat on my puppy and throw it outside.
Please dont anyone sell him a puppy ever!
I begged for the puppy back but he just curses and yells real loud.
