Fooled my father into thinking he was in the running for sweepstakes winnings. All the while he just had to send them monies for paper processing

While visiting my father I discovered he has been receiving notifications in the mail from International award advisors claiming he is in the running to win a large sum of monies in a sweepstakes. The letters that come seem to be legitimate to anyone who is not aware of the scam concerning paying any monies in advance to sweepstakes entries. I have been here 5 days and he has sent them 2 checks and received 3 notifications from them stating he is in the drawing for bigger money and has only to send them even more money... Boy. I plan to file with the Florida and New York State Attorney Generals office... I also plan to notify the local Media here in Florida if it is not too upsetting for my father. Please... Don't send these Cons your hard earned Money!!!
