HSBC Created FALSE "Promotional Charges" NO PURCHASES-NONE REFUSED to REVERSE? Internet

Have had an Credit Card with Best Buy through HSBC for 12 years and been in good standing for the entire time. The gave me two other cards. Three months ago, without cause they sent letters that all three HSBC cards, without cause was hard to take. The following month, my Best Buy card shoots up a mysterious $500 on top of the 23.9% interest. I read the "Promotional Interest" fine print, but had no promotional purchases and hadn't purchased anything of substance in about two years.

I wrote to customer service immediately explaining the error. Nothing like this had ever happened and thought they would fix the obvious error. No response. A month later-new bill and what do you know? Almost $600 of PROMOTIONAL INTEREST on more purchases that were never made. Wrote and wrote and nothing happened. Called and got nothing but a LOOOOOOONG hold and a hard time. Stopped paying my bill... And they finally wanted to talk. The billing person took some work but finally heard my story, said I needed everything in writing. Two hours later, connected me to the biggest A-HOLE ever, who informed me that phoning doesn't work, E-mail doesn't "ACTUALLY GO TO CUSTOMER SERVICE even though it is on the HSBC Credit Card Website, it isn't really Customer Service." That made NO SENSE! She told me that I was wrong. Regardless of FACT/aka no purchases to have promotional charges FROM for $1038... Which in HSBC terms means: 1) you are somehow over the limit, 2) you are somehow late for a payment BECAUSE you are over the limit 3) You get 15-20 phone calls a DAY, 4) Your credit is ruined in 30 days

They literally would not listen to reason. This is the shadiest new SCAM going and I will never pay them another penny. They offered me a settlement for... WHAT I ACTUALLY OWED BEFORE THIS SCAM, with the small print that they would REPORT the rest (the part i never owed) TO THE IRS as MY INCOME ON A 1099C.

How many ways can they RIPP ME OFF???
