Expert —Total Rip Off and Does not deliver the Jo

Do not trust this shop (expert auto center @ boulder hwy)!!! Doesn't know what their doing... Total rip-off

I went to this shop to have my check engine light looked up and repair what needs to be repaired hoping for reasonable price.

The manager of this shop said that my catalytic converters need to be replaced and since my car has two of them (catalytic converters), it will cost me $500.00 but it will definitely fix the issue that the check engine light as showing.

Being of a trusting person, I went through it and had the CATs replaced. And $500.00 later, the check engine light was gone. But so much for the "definite fix" because after a couple of miles that my car ran, the check engine came back again and its the same code (I know because I had the code actually pulled up at AutoZone everytime before I went to this shop). Now the shop manager is saying that we have to replace 2 of the O2 sensor and will cost $350.00, which I didn't go through this time sensing that there is something fishy on what they are doing.

I went to another shop that my neighbor recommended and he checked it for free... Anyway, I found out that the Catalytic Converters that were installed are the cheapest brand or type of Cats that only cost $60.00 each (total of around $120.00 for both). And the hard part is that the cats were not the real issue, it was some air intake leak and only a gasket needed to be replaced.

I went back to the original shop but they won't refund the difference. They also have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They just seem to be nice when you are about to pay $.

Anyway, I learned my lesson on this shop and I will never go back here. Hopefully this will warn anyone whose looking for a repair shop.
