Okinus - As Quality Time
Quality Time Billing Errors

Miscellaneous

I purchased furniture from a local furniture store in the city I live in, and due to credit issues I financed this furniture through Okinus Credit Solutions. The payments were to be drafted from my account for 24 months. A week prior to my last payment, I contacted Okinus to confirm that this would be the last payment, and instead of my normal payment of $243, my final payment would be for $112. On March 1st I noticed that the amount being debited from my account was not $112, but instead it was $243. I immediately contacted Okinus to advise them of their error, at which point I was advised by a manager that I would need to fax them a copy of my bank statement reflecting the completed debit. The manager assured me that Okinus would credit me for $131 and any fees associated with their error. I advised Okinus that I needed to have the credit applied to my checking account ASAP because I had an outstanding check for my car insurance that would be posting to my account in the next day. On March 2nd I faxed a copy of my bank statement to Okinus, I called to verify that they received my fax, and I request that the manager who I spoke to previously would call me back to further discuss my issue at hand. The manager never call me back, and I eventually called Okinus back that day and spoke to another manager. I was advised by this manager that all paper work for credits are usually processed first thing in the morning, and since my paper work was not received until 11:55 A.M. My credit would not post until the next day. I did a conference call with BOA and Okinus, advising the bank of the problem and my concerns with my check being returned for my car insurance. The representative at BOA advised me that my car insurance check would be paid and if I was assessed a fee of $35 they would remove it as a courtesy, due to the issue at hand. On March 3rd my car insurance check posted to my account, and my credit from Okinus still was posted on my account. To avoid the chance of my check being returned, and any overdraft fees being applied, I borrowed the difference from a family member to cover the check. Today March 4th, I checked my account to see if my credit was applied to my account, and Okinus submitted another debit to my account instead of the credit that I was due for $131, so my account is once again overdrawn!

I would not recommend anyone to use this company for their financing needs. The customer service representatives are very poorly trained, and lack necessary skills. And it is obvious that whoever processes the ACH payments for the company does not know the difference between a credit and debit.in the future I will purchase any major purchases with cash, and if I should need to finance something I will not use Okinus!
