Landers Enterprises Mr. Guzman is a scam artist - Do not trust this person

As a previous employee I could not agree anymore then theprevious poster. MichaelGuzman is a scam artist and knowing what he does from the inside, I had toleave within a year. Unfortunately, High Class Properties is no longer in service at leastthis is what Michael indicated when I last spoke to him via email (02/06). Michael actually owes me a past paycheck that got returneddue to non-sufficient funds. This is illegal and is punishable under state laws. Mr. Guzman makes me and all of hisemployees hold paychecks because he just cant pay his bills. On a few occasions I had to hold mypaycheck for over a month and for the most part I was unable to pay my bills intime. I filed a small claims suitwith High Class Properties/Michael Guzman; however, his business is no longerin service. The Fresno CountySheriff indicated that their establishment is now a rental property. I tried contacting the Departmentof Labor and the IRS but neither would help nor respond to my cries for thematter. Due to bad business practices, Mr. Guzman ran his businessinto the ground. As the soleaccountant at the company, I witnessed Mr. Guzman making countless bad businessdecisions in addition to several illegal practices even with my warnings. Mr. Guzman went as far asremoving himself from payroll to avoid a lien on his name even though he workedand performed day-to-day duties as the owner of the company. This leads Mr. Guzman to pay his personal bills with company funds and sometimes withdraw cashfor personal use even though we are low in funds. As the company accountant I send Mr. Guzman bills that needto be paid and are due within a week so he can approve before I pay them. Nearly every time I do not get repliesand bills rack up. Due to greedand simply bad business practices, Mr. Guzman simply cannot manage acompany.
As the previous poster indicated, the company mainly worksfor banks performing lawn service, home clean-up, ongoing maid service and soon. The independent contractors thatactually perform the service are on a 30-day pay period meaning that they arepaid 30 days after they perform the service. I have witnessed Mr. Guzman purposely delaying payment andsometimes as the previous poster stated not getting paid at all. The reason why I feel that Mr. Guzmanis a scam artist is because he hires independent contractors to performservices and end up not paying them. The independent contractor turnover isalarming at this company.
Mr. Guzman has many aliases, he also goes by Miguel and JoseIve met Mr. Guzmans father and he has a different last name, so as far asIm concerned Guzman might not even be his legal last name. I believe that Mr. Guzman did somethingin the past that ruined his credit and he simply uses a different alias to getcontracts and credit. Ironicallywhen I worked for Mr. Guzman he always stressed the importance of credit.in my opinion Mr. Guzman should be in jail, when I left thecompany he owed the IRS nearly 20k in back taxes. But due to some odd reason the Department of Labor and theIRS simply dont care.
I will find Mr. Guzman someday and he is going to jail.
