I am a restaurant owner and I used the services of My City Eats publications by placing an ad and "becoming a member". I have never dealt with a more unethical company in my life.
First, I was told that the magazine was going to be published in October then in November and finally it come out the last week of Decembeer, two months after I was told it would be on the stands, second, their "email marketing program" was a mess and it never worked, third, they claim their distribution is 20,000 per issue, but I only received 15 magazines and I checked some of their distribution points and they either had no magazines or very few, and when I checked again two more times, there were no magazines at all, at the same time I was been harassed to pay constantlly, as if they were hurting for money, even though I had paid in advance and had received no magazine ad for over 2 months. I received 0 calls and 0 traffic
The worst part was I did a contract for 3 months and it was renewed without my permission and I was continued to be billed when the contract was only for 3 months. I called and spoke to the owner, Nick Christo, and he told me that the contract renewed automatically and I had no choice but to pay; he was very rude and did not take any responsability for all the problems that had been going on. I have talked to a couple of other restaurant owners that have dealt with My City Eats and they have also had similar negative experiences.
I hope this story prevents anybody else from going thru the same experience Do not do business with My City Eats or you will regret it.
