Supervisor name Rick? 2 individuals called me on my cell phone and said I was approved for a auto loan and then asked me to verify my information and asked for my SS

2 individuals called me on my cell phone and said I was approved for an auto loan and asked that I verify my information. I started to verify the info and then they asked me for my SS#?? I asked them if I was approved then why do yoou need my SS# and they said to verify your information. I said if I was approved then you should not need my SS#-you should already have it and they said they do but it is encrypted? I asked them to give me a call back number and if they are legitimate than they will pick up the phone and at that time I would give my SS#. The man named Rick said at the end of the call he will give me a call back #??? I asked that he give it to me first and he kept talking over me and said they are legitimate and they are government funded program and that I can trust them, I said I don't feel comfortable giving them my SS# and I hung up the phone and looked them up on the website??? I also called back the number they gave me in which they said to call back tomorrow??? The number is 1-212-796-6988 they said they were located in New York city
