Hi,
I had purchased a HP Touch Smart Last year and had purchased the Extended warranty for two more years this February. I started facing problems with the Power Adapter Pin getting a loose contact on the DC Lack and a Key had come out.
I had sent this for repair and I was told by the Technicians in HP that there was a liquid spill on the keyboard and this voids all existing warranties purchased.
They say that they will:
1) Not repair any parts under warranty.
2) Not refund me the Warranty money
3) Even an unrelated problem like Adapter pin having a loose connection will not be resolved as there is a liquid spill.
I personally have ensured that I do not carry any eatables, drinks while using the laptop and have never had a liquid spill to my knowledge.
I feel HP is finding ways and means of tricking me to pay additional amounts for fixing my laptop.
I would personally recommend HP products to no one as the customer service is very poor from HP.
