ROAR Media Group, LLC
Breach of Contract

Miscellaneous

I was contacted by ROAR Media Group to advertise my business in the Bravo Supremarket located at the corner of SW Gatlin Blvd. And SW Port St. Lucie Blvd.in Port St. Lucie Florida. The ad was to be placed on 30% of the shopping carts next to an aisle directory on the inside facing the customer pushing the shopping cart, and another advertisement by some other business on the reverse side. The cost of the advertisement that was to be posted for six months was $1165.00 (which was paid in 4 installments). The contract was for the ad to be posted on January 13. It still has not happened.
I and others contacted them regarding the delay. The response from ROAR was that the delay was temporary and that the ads would be posted by the end of that week. It did not happen. They then sent a group email apologizing for the delay, indicating that the device holding the advertisements on the end of the shopping carts had not arrived and that was the cause of the delay. They indicated that in good faith, they would not start the 6 months of advertising until the ad was posted, and extend that one month due to the delay.
I worte them persoanlly, informing them that I did not buy their excuse. I informed them the only reason I entered into the contract was because it was right on time for tax season which is one of the primary things my business does. The delay prevented the advertisement from having any opportunity to generate business for my company and as such. Was no longer of any value or use to me even if they did get it posted (which they have not). I asked them to voluntarily rescind the contract and to refund only a portion of what I paid, not the whole amount. I further infomred them that failure to do so could result in my takikng legal action against them.
They didn't listen. I have filed a complaint against them with the Better Business Bureau, and I have now filed this complaint with the complaint. As far as i am concerned, i have been screwed out of $1165.00. All they had to do was get the adposted on a timely basis or refund my money. They have done neither. That constitutes a Ripoff in the first degree and I would counsel anyone approached by them to beware of that happeneing to them.
In closing, if they rescind the contract and refund my money, I will withdraw this complaint or make an amendment to it informing the public that ROAR has come clean and made good on their end of the deal by refunding my money. The advertisement is of no value and is now meaningless and unacceptable as an alternative.
