Say one thing... Contract says another... Very deceptive sales pitch!

Miscellaneous

Bought a membership and was told that the membership would expire after one year, but if I did not want to renew it, I did not have to. All of sudden, I get a bill for 2 months into the following year, only to find that the contract auto-renews. When I asked for explanation, I was told that I was not prevented from reading the contract and should not have taken the word of the person who sold me the membership. I asked to cancel it with a letter that I could fax, but was told I had to mail the letter and no matter how quickly they got it, I would have to pay for an additional 2 months. I asked why, and was told "because that is the way it it". I explained that I would drop the letter off so that they had it immediately to cancel the membership and was told that they would still charge me for the next 2 months no matter what.
Very deceptive... They tell you one thing and sell you another. I failed to read the entire agreement (how many of us do) and placed my trust in what i thought would be an honest business person. Steer clear!!!
