Matthew Hall - Paralegal This is who not to trust when you're in a desperate financial situation - this company definitely epitomizes the saying, "kick 'em when they are down."

I am self employed. My husband has been employed with the same company for 11 years. His last raise was six years ago.in the last two years a lot of money was going out, however our combined income had decreased. We have two teenage children, one of whom is attending a university out-of-state. Like many Americans, the past year has been difficult for us.
In July of our debt had become insurmountable. The credit card companies were relentless with their phone calls, some starting at 8:00am and continuing to 9:00pm M-Sunday. I researched debt consolidation companies, and decided the best course of action would be through an attorney.
Enter Brauer Law. My paralegal, Matthew Hall had all the right answers. He was articulate and well informed and claimed to have once worked 'for the other side', so he was well aware of their (the credit card companies) tactics. He told me that if we kept up with our monthly payment of 900, (which was a stretch but I figured we had no choice), we could be debt free in three years. No more harrassing phone calls. Brauer even goes so far as to send you an outline of what to say and what not to say.
It is now February 20. Brauer has not settled one account, I have. Some for 30 cents on the dollar. Yet they continue to take their fee despite my written request for them to no longer handle certain accounts.
I called Matthew at the end of January telling him that we had a certain amount of money to settle the two remaining accounts. I can only assume he never contacted either of those creditors, because this morning I was served with a cival action.
Since enrolling in the Brauer Law program, we have paid them nearly $5,000. They have not settled one account. As-a-matter-of-fact, the collection agencies representing the creditors claimed to have never even spoken to anyone from Brauer Law on our behalf.
Bottom-line, they are parasites. They prey on those whose backs are against the wall. We weren't looking to run away from our debt, we were looking for a solution. Brauer Law was looking to fill their pockets.
