Flowers Were Awful/Not What I Ordered InternetSan Clemente

On January 15th, I ordered flowers for my daughter's birthday. I ordered a very bright and chic arrangement in a glass cube w/water (called the Chic Bouquet). My daughter told me that the flowers arrived in a cardboard cube with foam and when she tried to water them, the water leaked through the cardboard and the cardboard fell apart. I asked her if they were bright and cheery and she said, "not really" I hope you didn't pay a lot for them. I paid $83.37!

I asked my daughter to send me a picture of the flowers, which she did and they weren't even close to what I ordered. The flowers were not bright at all, but rather dark and depressing. I contacted the florist immediately (next day, since they were closed) to let them know that I was extremely unhappy with the floral arrangement and they said someone would get back to me. No one ever contacted me. A week later I called again and calmly explained what happened and was told that someone would be in contact with me shortly. Another week went by and I heard nothing. I again contacted the florist and asked for a manager/supervisor and was told that she was on another line and that she would call me back.

Finally on the fourth try I spoke with a woman named Cindy, she said she was the manager. I explained to her what my complaint was and she looked up my order and said, "oh, I'm very familiar with this arrangement, it's very nice". I told her that my daughter had sent me a picture of the flowers and that they were not even close to what I had ordered (they stipulate that they can use a "substitution flower of comparable quality") and I didn't feel that they were comparable in any way. Cindy agreed that they should have been in a glass cube with water, not a cardboard cube with foam and asked me to forward the picture to her and she would take care of it and get back to me. I sent Cindy the picture of the flowers with a brief explanation that this was a birthday arrangement and the flowers that were delivered looked more like sympathy flowers (dark and dreary).

To date, I have heard nothing. I sent Cindy another email on 2/16 and explained that since I hadn't heard back from anyone and it was now a full month later, I was going to contact my bank and dispute the charge. Cindy did not respond and therefore I writing this in the hopes that no one else will have to deal with this situation. This florist is also known on the internet as GoFlorist.com. This flower shop states on it's website the following: "THE CUSTOMER HAS 48 HOURS TO REQUEST A REPLACEMENT OF A POOR QUALITYARRANGEMENT. THE CUSTOMER ALSO HAS THE RIGHT TO REFUSE AN ARRANGEMENTIF THEY FEEL THE PRODUCT IS OF POOR QUALITY." I indeed called within 24 hours to notify them of my dissatisfaction and yet they did nothing. Poor customer service, poor quality of flowers, and complete disregard for the customer.
