Miscellaneous

I contracted this company to collect a debt from a company that failed to pay for a job we had done for them in March. I already had a judgement against the company so all that had to be done was for them to get a judge to issue a writ of execution for collection. I originally dealt with Johnathan Turner. He told me that he was handling the case personally because when he contacted the company, they were really upset and had used foul language with him. Now their paperwork that they original sent stated that if no money was collected then there would be no fee. However Jonathan told me that he needed $1,860 to proceed with the collection of which I sent him. This rocked on for a couple of months and then the case was passed to Catherine Price and she told me that collection was imminet. I talked with her for about a month and she kept telling me that the courts in Houston were backed up and they would have it done sooner. Next the case was handed to Pat Stewart who told me that he had located an account for the delinquent company in Oklahoma that had a substantial sum of money and that he had been able to get it frozen. He also promised that it would be done soon.in September, Pat called and said that it was going to court in a couple of days and he was going to go after the debt plus interest plus liquidated damages. However he said that he was only being paid to collect the original amount and to get the full amount the court would award would be an additional $4,201.05. Since I wanted all that was due, I also sent that to him. He promised that it would be completed in a couple of weeks. I kept getting the run around for the next couple of months and then one day I called for Pat and was informed that he was no longer with the company. I tried to get back to Johnathan or Catherine for updates. I was promised that they would call me back but they never did. Everytime I call now, they refer me to the legal department. Sometimes I get to take to someone named Susie. She says that they are still waiting to hear from the attorney. Now I may not be the brightest bulb in the pack but I don't think that it takes 3 months to hear back from the attorney. The receptionist always takes my phone number for call back and I am promised they will call back, but they never do. I have asked for the case history but that never happens either. I am beginning to believe that they are not legitimate and they just want me to go away of which I am not.
To anyone else thinking of using them, I would look elsewhere.
