We paid for Halloween costumes but didn't get anything other than the run around

My wife and I attended a large Halloween party in 2009. Because it was a special party we wanted to have extra special costumes. After searching online for a source, I discovered Threads and Lace.
I was initially very impressed because Terry Hayes, the owner, was very responsive to my email questions. We picked the options for the costume and sent the money to Terry for the work she was to do. This was several hundred dollars. We were thrilled with the costumes we were to receive, sadly, we never received anything from Terry other than excuse after excuse about why she could not deliver what we had paid for.
Because of the situation, my wife and I were overly understanding.instead of initiating a charge back with our credit card company we patiently waited for the costumes to be delivered. Our patience actually extended until after Halloween!
It is now February. We still have received nothing from Threads and Lace. Nothing. Because of our understanding and patience with Terry Hayes, we are also out of the time window within which a charge back can be filed. So we are out the money with no recourse with the credit card company. Hopefully this report helps others to avoid making the same mistake.
