Obadiah's Woodstoves
Sold Stove Pipe not originally ordered, in my opinion is firehazard as assembled, then refused to accept back on return

Bought a woodstove and all pipe, Dura Pipe, required for installation. The day of shipping, received a call from Obadiah's stating that they were out of Dura Pipe and would be shipping Security Pipe instead. Was stated that this was a better and more expensive pipe for same price. When received, pipe had missing pieces and wrong pieces. Called for correction. Obadiah's sent "corrected pieces."

As unit was being installed, I noticed that the telescoping pipe did not fit the support box correctly. I contacted Gas and Electric Equipment Company that shipped me the pipe and asked if they forgot an adapter. The sales person stated that the two pipes go together with the support box pipe being the male end and the telescoping pipe being the female end. I stated that this would allow smoke, ash, soot or embers to possibly exit from around the pipe fitting area. He stated that this open area around the pipe was to be caulked and then secured by screws.

I contacted Obadiah's and talked to the Co-Owner, Annette Chain and explained the fire hazard concern I had with the Security Pipe they shipped me. She wanted me to take pictures and send he something to explain better what she could not understand over the phone.instead of wasting my (Cunsumer) time, Realizing that she was not interested in making me happy by just sending me the Dura Vent Pipe that I originally ordered, I ordered the Dura Vent Pipe online from another company for $250.00 less than I paid Obadiah"s for the same price on my receipt from them.
