Credit card scam

I checked my credit card statement and this company LITE-CHECKOUT.com showed a charge for $12.80 that I didn't authorize. I called the lite-checkout.com number and their automated system, which sounded shady, asked me for my credit card number to cancel this fraudulent charge. It said it could not find my number. Then it said it was transferring me to a live live agent but the call went nowhere (to a busy signal). I called back and got the same result. I then called my credit card company who said they would remove the charge and suggested I try to cancel so there would be no future charges. I told them I tried and that that I did not want to provide them (lite-checkout) with any additional information. This company smells and is obviously a scam. I believe there must be some legal loophole that they are getting through so when we use our credit cards for other services like online credit reports these other scam companies also try and charge for some mystery membership. If anyonelse has experienced this type of activity on their credit card and is tired of these scam-artists, I would be more than happy to start a class-action suit against them!
