Apple iphone phone support is hopeless - iphone

Every time I have to have anything to do with Apple 's phone support, I vow never again to buy anything made by this company. It's quite staggering how hopeless they are. And Apple somehow manages to have a reputation of "everything just works." First, they have a completely hopeless voice recognition program on the phone which NEVER works properly. First, they sent me a repair replacement id, presumably to facilitate communications, but the phone system didn't recognize the number. Possibly because it started with a letter, and apple didn't say whether I should type a number for the letter. So I tried to deal with their voice recognition system. Given the hopelessness of voice recognition, any good company would provide immediately the option of responding using menu buttons as an alternative to voice. But with apple it takes 10 minutes before you are granted this option. Finally, when I got to customer service, I couldn't just provide my cell phone number, and have Apple's vaunted computers locate the rest of the information; I had to locate my serial number, before anything could happen. Apple should buy a Dell and get Gold support, so they can learn how to do customer support.
