Deducted $200.00 from my bank for early termination fee, even trhough I never had a contract

On 3/19 I purchased a Telephone from Russell Cellular of Texarkana and intigated month to month service, they assigned this service to Alltel, later Alltel sold or merged with Verizon Wirless. After a few months of paying for service charges not ordered by myself I cancelled my service with Verizon Wireless. When I received my final bill there was a $200.00 early termination fee that had been charged to my Bank. I attempted to discuss this with Customer Service at Verizon but they refused tpo discuss this and stated I had a 2 year contract.
