Meyers Van Lines
After paying, now they claim financial problems, change name of company and ask more money!

It was a shipment of 100 cft from NY state to Germany.
We originally paid about 2,000$ at the end of November and after a week that our stuff was picked up they asked 500$ more because of excess volume. For a while no news or updates and at the end of January they tell us on the phone that the company had financial problems, already at the beginning of december (but they did ask for more money even if they did not know what to do with our stuff) but they were not allowed to say this to the customers.
So now they say that they have a new owner and the name of the company is ImoveGreen... I speak with same people and they say now we are different... They say that the new owner took the company but IS NOT liable for my shipping?!?!?
So a week ago the manager Joy Yoffey called us again and said that ImoveGreen can continue our shipment for an extra low charge (only real cost and no profit for them) of 800$ (but i already paid entirely for my shipment to the exact same people two months ago!!!), or (since we don't trust them anymore we asked for other options) we can pay 400$ to them for the shipment to Rotterdam and then we can pay the destination agent directly. I am very close to pay 800$, but i am scared... I am afraid that my stuff will be stuck in Rotterdam for who knows what other reason.
The website of Meyers is still active and kicking... Did they really file bankruptancy??? Are they simply trying to get more money out of my pocket? Will there be another story in a couple of weeks??!
Ridicoulous, and i am afraid to be only at the beginning of a longer story.
