About a week before Christmas, I was approached by General Revenue Corporation (GPC), a debt collecting agency to settle a debt—my student loan debt. GRC was their debt collector attempting to collect the debt and said I was in default. I was shocked. GRC was really harassing me on the phone, calling me constantly trying to get me set up on a payment plan.
