I believe this company ripped me off

Miscellaneous

I saw this job posted at my college job bulletin. It said 2010 Tutors needed - $20 / hour. To me it sounds to good to be true. I decided to give it a try. It says that tutors get to set their own rates, their own hours, andthey keep all of the money they earn. WheresMyTutor.com is currently looking for local tutors who can work part-time from 2-10 hours per week. All tutoring is conducted one-on-one at a neutral location such as a library, campus, or nearby coffee shop. Before I applied, I decided to check out the website. They ask a for a fee to sign-up. After you sign up, you create a profile, so students and parents can learn and read about you. It says that they find the students for you, that way you don't have to waste time looking for them. It also says that one can starting tutoring as soon as tomorrow. This is not true!

I just signed up, and have not seen any tutoring requests. Under qualifications it says no tutoring experience required. Tutors must have at least a current standing in college. Tutors must be able to meet their students at a place in common.

I was hoping to make some extra money. But it seems that is not happening.
