Overstock Ripoff Return Policy

Miscellaneous

I bought a long wool coat from this company - checked the size chart - bought it in the proper size. Tried it on when it arrived. It did not fit properly. Had the coat on for less than 2 minutes. Hung it back on the same hanger it came with. Put the plastic wrap it came with over the coat. Sent it back via UPS as directed by company. Received email stating that I was going to get a $59 refund on a $132 coat - reason: HAIR.
Excuse me? Hair? I had this coat on for a total of 2 minutes. If a hair showed up on the coat from me trying it on (and this is THEIR excuse for a partial refund) how could it cost $60 in damages?

There was no hair to speak of that I could see on this coat when I returned it. This is pretty unbelievable. I have purchased clothing from other retail outlets (Macy's, Chadwick's, etc) and had no problem with returns if the fit wasn't right. This in my opinion is a bogus reason to secure a ripoff of over half the cost of the item. Is this how Overstock is making its profits?

I contacted live customer service (by text) yesterday and they said someone would get in touch with me soon. So far, nothing. I'm still waiting.
