Hagan Holdings AHHHH The Company that cares... Yeah Right

I am a Truck Driver, I had my DAC ruined by another company so it tooks months and the attorney general to clear that up, finally found a job with what I thought was a good reliable company.

I worked for HOWCO for seven months everything was fine but then I got hurt at home Christmas Day... Thats when the fun began. I had broken my hand which required surgery. Being concerned about my job I tried to work with the broken hand prior to even going to the hospital. After working that Monday, I went to the hospital I even went to work the following day against doctors orders (again out of concern for my job)... And yes I realize breaking my hand was my fault not theirs.

On the 30th of December I found out that I would need surgery on the 31st. I informed my supervisor asap! I was told "dont worry about your job take care of your hand and let us know whats going on." I had the surgery everything went fine until the nurses at the docs office rewraped my hand and caused my knuckle to drop which caused me to go into a cast. I called work yet again and was told again not to worry and that I was just going to be placed on the "inactive list." I called my supervisor Lee, to request light duty, given that we had been looking for a transportation mgr I offered to fill in until I could drive again. But again I was told to let them know when I was ready for work. Then a day later I was told if I wanted my check I had to turn in my uniforms and gear... But I wasnt fired? I lost out on my December bonus check because I wasnt an employee any longer but again Im not fired only inactive???

Now here I am ready to work and theres no work and Im still on the inactive list not fired but have no job no insurance (cant afford cobra with no job) no bonus check (only missed 1 day in December) and still no straight answers.

This company could care less for its employees they tell you you will work 4 ten hour days and keep you out 16 hours a day then complain because they cant set up a route that works, tell you that it takes 15 minutes at the stop when in reality it takes 45 minutes to an hour and a half, they dont pay worth anything but it was as I said at least a job and after all you go thru and dont complain they can you and to avoid unemployment they tell you your still employed. This company is run like a big joke by a bunch of folks that talk out of both sides of their mouths and Im glad I found out now just how unethical they truly are!

Oh and I learned another thing with this company if you get hurt at home say it happened at work at least then when they screw you over and keep your money they can pay the workers comp!
