We've had worse customer service with AT&T Uverse than we've experienced in a very long time. The tv/internet service has just been OK, but the customer service has been amazingly bad.

First, we filled out the on-line form to receive the $200 gift card for switching to AT&T Uverse. The card never comes in the mail. So after about 5 months I finally call to ask about the card. They say the promotion ended and there is nothing they can do. They showed no record of us receiving a card or even being eligible for one. I blame it on something getting lost in their new systems, but in the end the consumer is the one paying the price.

Second, I wanted to order ESPN gameplan to watch one football game. The AT&T Uverse person on the phone said that it would be $75, so I said never mind. But they also said that I could do it in 3 monthly installments of $25 a month, cancel after watching the game, and only pay the first month's installment. So I agreed. I watched the game. Cancelled the service, and AT&T stopped sending the gamplan channels to my TV, as expected. Well here I am several months later still being billed the full $75. I talked to a customer service agent and they say there's nothing they can do. Even though there are notes in my account from the original agent, stating that I was promised I could cancel and not pay the full amount, there's still nothing they can do. Even though I never received the 3 months of gameplan channels, I still have to pay for them. Wow, I couldn't believe this person could say that to me without cracking up. Once again, poor management and customer service and the consumer foots the bill.

I have a couple of other horror stories with them, but am tired of typing.

ATT advertises on TV the UverseTV/Internet for $59.00. This is mis-leading and not true. My Uverse TV and internet were started and I cancled it in eighteen days. AT&T says the $59.00 promo discount
