Notification System Contest America Publishers, Inc
159 sweepstakes mailings in a single month despite sending "do not mail" lette

Miscellaneous

Our 88-year old neighbor started responding to sweepstakes mailings which send official looking letters saying "you have already won $x, xxx, xxx just sent in a $20 processing fee". Sometimes the amount is in the millions!

Over a period of about 6 months our friend got the point where he was spending over $2,000 a month to enter sweepstakes. Over the past month he has received more than 600 letters!

I have made it a campaign to get these letters stopped. Most of them have directions on sending a letter to stop the mailing. This company in particular has sent 159 letters in the past month and they don't seem to be letting up. This outrageous company sends as many as 20 different letters in a single day, each with different appearance, envelopes, company names, etc.
