Ripoff fired for unworthy cause fired for something that I was accused of but wasn't true

Hi, I was a loader at Lowes, and have been working there for over 4 yrs. They hired a few new part time loaders, and I was kidding with one loader and patted him on the arm and he told me if I touch him again he'll kick my butt. So I touched him in the forehead.

Then later I went to lunch and got a phone call from one of the managers, and told me not to do that again. I hung up and got mad. There were some other employees there too and I said when I get back off lunch I'm going to tell him to not speak or come near me again.

So later the store manager calls me in the office and told me what the other employees told him, that I was going to kick the new loader's butt. I tried to tell him it wasn't true but he shut me out and said I was fired on 8/18/03 at 8:30 pm.
