Action Moving and Storage Montreal
Promised delivery of my cargo in 2-3 days and delivered in 9 days

My daughter was moving from Montreal to Toronto, and I contracted Action to pick up the cargo on Jan 4. Their salesman promised me the cargo would be sent Jan 5 or 6th to Toronto. As it was a consolidation, our cargo was a small shipment, it would probably be Jan 6th as they needed to pick up the other cargo they had booked.
On Jan 5 I called to get a delivery date and was told they would get back to me. On Jan 6 as I had not heard back I called again and was told that the other cargo was delayed or had cancelled so they could not send my cargo. The salesman and the "boss" were both out of town and the girl in the office had no authority to do anything or send my cargo or she would be fired. This same story went on for days with no one giving us a date for our things to be delivered. Finally after many calls they delivered on Jan 13. My daughter was without her clothing, dishes, etc for an entire week. My wife and I who had gone to Toronto to help her unpack had to stay there an additional 6 days waiting for the cargo.
I finally spoke to the boss, Teresa, after her return from vacation and she proceeded to tell me because it was a small shipment and because the price was low, that they have no responsability to compensate. Even though she admitted that they have written confirmation to me that the cargo would be delivered by Jan 7, that it was too bad for me and that I should accept this due to the fact that the price was low. I told her that the contract with them was for delivery by Jan 7 and price has nothing to do with it, but she refused to do anything.
This is not a trustworthy company nor is the owner concerned about her customers or what they promised. I certainly would NOT reccommend this company.
