I went to the sweetbay store on 34th street and 22 avenue north in saint petersburg florida to get my grandkids wic. The boy at register had some problems with juice and bread ringing up. He called for help a girl showed up said i got soft wheat not reg wheat so fine i'll exchange it than before i could he tried to ring up a juice in thier brand which wic book states prefer store brands 100% which it was thier computors must not have been updated yet wic just changed some of the items i told her yes it was in the book check they didn't have one i told them had simular problem at winn dixie and they checked book found it and used key on drawer to accept as i was telling her this the boy ran the wic check through without letting me get the rest of items so my grandkids ran short of juice for thier sippys. I thought this was very ignorant as they are gov substadied and stores are suppose to fullfil the agreement not to misuse the checks.in the mean time people behind me were getting angry and i was embarrashed as i have not had to deal with wic or foodstamps in 15 yrs i was doing it as a favor for my son who is a single father and has no vehicle and niether do i i have to ride a bicycle to the stores
