I called Evie to see if she could come to our home to look at and hopefully buy some antiques, collectibles, and coins I wished to sell.

She arrived with a man, and proceeded to pull what I later learned is call "The distract and Pack "scheme.

This is where one person keeps you busy while the other steals things.

Evie Kidder, owner of Chicks and Hen Antiques, 277 Winston Rd.in Akron, Ohio, came into my home and stole approx. $1,200.00 worth of antiques and collectibles while appearing to buy $20.00 worth of things.

I even gave her and her friend a chance to return them with no problem. I noticed the items were gone as Evie was pulling out of my drive way.

I immediately called her on her cell phone and said "I think you got the wrong boxes by mistake and you have my - and my — instead of only what you paid for."

Evie Kidder denied it and never came back.

I could not prove what she and her friend took. But as God is my witness, she stole many things from me that day. Smarter now in Akron, Ohio
