Ppi
Revocate Marketing Fishy employment opportunity

Miscellaneous

Six hours after submitting my resume for a position with "Revocate Marketing" (they currently have a slew of different opportunities posted all over the internet), I received an e-mail supposedly from Revocate saying that my resume had been reviewed by management and they were interested in interviewing me. This at 5:00 in the morning on the Monday after the Thanksgiving holiday, just hours after I had submitted my resume. My radar went up. When I noticed that the return e-mail address did not include "revocatemarketing.com", my radar went up further.

Because I live close to the office address that is included in their e-mail, I thought I would take a drive and see what was up. It's a small, grungy business park and the name on the door corresponding to the address was PPI. As you might imagine, I was even more alarmed to see that. At this point, between the company name to which I had applied and was used as the letterhead in the e-mail I received, the return address on that e-mail, and the supposed location of their company, I now had three different company names affiliated with the job I had posted my resume to.

When I got home, I checked PPI in Torrance on the internet and started finding scam reports. No job is worth dealing with a company that would behave in this manner. They seem to be trying to hide behind various company names. If they're not up to no good, they should just have upfront information available. (Oh, and they couldn't even properly spell the name of the city where they're located on Revocate's web site.)

Be very leery of PPI and Revocate Marketing. Something is up with these people.
