Thomas Pontani Organisation is utlising credit report site to bilk people out of money

The individual/organisation is posting ads in multiple cities on craigslist under the sublet/temporary section. They claim to be looking for a house/pet sitter for their dreamy 3 BR place, with an absolutely ideal situation - photos attached of a beautiful (spec) home, consequently drawing a number of responses which are responded to with an automated response email. Exact same verbiage and person respond in each city; so far these being: Portland-Oregon, Chicago, Long Island, Big Island-Hawaii, South Florida, San Diego. The 'homeowner' wants only "to see that you have credit standing and doesn't want a copy of the credit report", leading you to believe they are being honest (how could they not be if they don't want your social security number?), which they are of course, not. They are getting your credit card number instead, much quicker and easier!

In the 'homeowner's' automated response to your inquiry is a link to 'freecreditreports247' for you to submit your name, address, phone number, and credit card number, claiming to only charge $1.95, which will be credited back. This is not the case. They charge $34.95, sometimes more than once, and are unreachable for dispute as they list only an email address for customer service contact information.
