Flawed Diamond Earrings

In Feb I put a pair of 1/4CT diamond stud earrings on layaway. They were on sale for $99.99. I paid for them in full a few months later. When I took them in to be appraised for insurance purposes, I was given the jeweler's scope and told to look at the black spots in each diamond. I was told they were worth only about $10.00 with these flaws in them. Since I spent my hard earned money on these flawed diamonds, I feel Helzberg Diamonds ripped me off. I feel they should refund my money even though it's been over a year. I have the Diamond Guarantee card they gave me at the time of purchase and the receipt. As far as I'm concerned these earrings are "JUNK".
