Never ending child support

My son graduated high school in may turned 18 in june joined the service in october and I'm still paying child support. First I was told that it would end when he got out of school, it didn't. Then I was told it would end when he turned 18, it didn't. Next the lady at the local office keeps telling me that it's coming to an end, this is 10-29-09 and it still hasen't ended. She even told my exwife not to worry about it since she was already getting it just set back and keep drawing it because once the state pays it out they don't have to refund any over payment. I've talked to the local office 6 times since may, my exwife talked to them twice. They are saying that it is out of there hands that they don't have anything to do with it anymore, but when I changed jobs thats where the new order came from. No I'm not behind in payments, payroll deduction is wonderfull. It's been coming out of my check for about 5 years. When does it end if ever?
