Bad Outfit... Avoid if possible - Credit Card

American express "clear" platinum card: this co.in trouble. While their borrowing rates are dropping like a stone and they are getting federal bailout funds they still find it necessary to raise their rates (in my case, a 30% increase)! Don't sit still for it. I cancelled our cards and will have nothing more to do with axp. Odd thing is, i haven't had a single rate increase from any of the other three credit cards my family holds!!! Oh, i should mention our credit is a with a fico over 800. Anyone owning axp stock consider this a warning. Any co. Forced to operate this way is in deep trouble. Any improvement in figures is sure to be of a temporary nature and you might consider getting out now. I did.
