Advertised that i was the 10,000 person to logon and that i had won a free laptop. I should have known better but it looked legit. Then came the redirect to their site and the spammers. When i made it to the final page they wanted a me to buy something to qualify. I knew I was had.
Within 5 min. I had a phone call from one of the companies. I told them I knew it was a scam and I was going to report it. Then came the spam, half of it made past my protection. I saved it in my spam directory without even reading it. Then a while later I received another call from the company I had told not to call. This time they wouldn't even stop talking. I told the guy not to call again but he just kept talking. I hung up.
We are on the "Do Not Call List" but most of these call come from a number that cannot be traced by me and the government is useless. I guess I'll just have to put up with annoying phone calls and spam, spam, spam.
I am sure that many people are being had by these people and they should be stopped. It gives the legit companies a bad rap. Please let the public know.
